Summer 2002. While waiting for their final high school exam results, a group of friends spends their days in a local bar, watching World Cup matches and indulging in their greatest passion – motocross riding. Their carefree summer comes to an end when Henryk, a mysterious man with a bad reputation among the locals, returns to the village after many years abroad. His arrival sparks a conflict with the group, shattering the friends’ peace and harmony and ultimately leading to tragedy.

Piotr Szubra is a graduate of Film Studies and New Media Studies at the Institute of Audiovisual Arts of the Jagiellonian University, as well as Directing at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School. He is the author of short films that are regularly screened at film festivals. One of his most notable projects is Ofiara księżyca, which had its official premiere during the 31st edition of the International Film Festival CAMERIMAGE.
